Author Bio: Marjorie Hudson

Marjorie Hudson's fiction and historical essays have been published in Story and North Carolina Literary Review, among others, and her poems are anthologized in Poems from the Heron Clan. She received her MFA in Creative Writing from Warren Wilson College.

In 2000 Hudson was named North Carolina's Artist-Educator of the Year for her work to promote community through creative writing. Searching for Virginia Dare is her first book. More recently Hudson received the Emerging Artist Grant from the Durham Arts Council to create a website showcasing her accomplishments as a writer and to promote Searching for Virginia Dare.
